Creating Custom Field in a Custom Object

1)      Expand the Custom object below which the new field is to be created. Here I have selected the Custom object as ‘Test Object’.

2)      Click on the Fields to create a new field.

3)      Click on the create new field icon. Select Field type required for the new required field. Here I have selected the text field type.

4) Fill the details within the create new field page.

5) Click on the Save and Close button to finish the process of creation of new field.

Note : Every object whether it is standard or custom, has 6 standard fields associated with it.
